Right-Wing Media Blackout?

I will be interested to see if this is covered on any right-wing blog, particularly those critical of the BBC. I could not believe my hears when I saw the Channel Four news report about Blair's speech in America. He said that we should act on 'prediction not certainty...call it progressive pre-emption'. Read that again. We should attack a country if we predict that they may do something, not if they do something, if they may do something. I have hardly heard a scarier piece of rhetoric than this.

What scares me even more is the fact that none of the major media outlets have reported this statement. There is video footage at Channel Four and BBC, but the editorial makes no comment on this whatsoever. Of course, it would be churlish to suggest that this is down to the domination of a right-wing agenda in the media. After all, it's a liberal left-wing media we have right??

This follows on from remarks made by Blair about the reform of the UN. Clearly reform is needed, the veto should be removed from the permanent members for a start (how many time has this been used by the US? 34 times in 20 years, compared to France's 3). However, with men like John Bolton desperate to change the UN, I am a little wary of what Blair is actually thinking. I suspect it is yet more cosying up to Bush by a supposed 'socialist'. Or is Blair posturing for a shot at General Secretary? Heaven help us if he does.
