Drug Firms Ripping Off NHS Shock

This will upset the drug companies tomorrow:

The NHS is paying drug companies hundreds of millions of pounds too much for branded medicines, according to the Office of Fair Trading.

This will come as no surprise to anyone who is aware of the intense lobbying on the part of the drug companies to persuade government officials to approve expensive drugs. The drugs companies have long been trying to screw the NHS for their own benefit. By crippling the NHS, they hope to strengthen the case for a private healthcare system, a healthcare system that would earn them many more millions in profit. It will be interesting to see how the drug companies respond to this, no doubt their attempts at blackmail will commence with renewed vigour.
