Infrastructure minister Benjamin Ben-Eliezer has said that the Israelis should assassinate Nasrallah at the first opportunity. According to Haaretz, Ben-Eliezer said:
"Nasrallah's life is forfeit. He's bad for the Jews, he's bad for the Arabs, he's bad for the Christians. We should wait for the right opportunity and not leave him alive."
To clarify his position, he also added that 'Yes, we should eliminate him.' This admission comes shortly after the recent victory rally in Lebanon in which Israeli drones were seen circling the site. It also comes a day after the Israeli government had denied that they were planning to assassinate Nasrallah at the recent rally. In fact, it was clear that the only reason they didn't attempt to 'eliminate' him was due to the fact that they did not want to kill innocent bystanders. The political fall-out for such an event would prevent even the Israeli government from attempting such an attack. However, it is only a matter of time before an attempt on his life is made. After all, the Israeli government will not stand for the humiliation they have suffered for much longer.
