A World Without Water

In a world obsessed with oil, the earth's most precious resource has been overlooked. Water is increasingly falling into the hands of corporations and, therefore, becoming a resource for the wealthy. Many people around the world are suffering due to the control of water by corporate interests. How long will it be before water is the new oil?? Wars being fought to secure supply, people being displaced due to pipe lines being laid and people dying because basic safety procedures are compromised to maintain huge profit margins. I urge everyone (everyone who can) to watch A World Without Water on Channel 4 at 7.30pm tomorrow evening (the link also contains a poll on what you think of corporate ownership of water supplies - please contribute to the debate). It is essential viewing for anyone who cares about what the corporations are doing to our planet.
