Well, what a disaster. I don't have an awful lot of symapthy for the Home Secretary as he has introduced a lot of legislation that I find disturbing (but then, so did Blunkett). The problem with this story is it combines the two things that the media love: Immigrants and repeat offenders. Nothing gets their juices flowing as much as these issues and together, well, it's like dynamite. At the end of the day, they had served their time in jail, they are no different to other released prisoners...the difference, of course, being that they are foreigners. Of course, they should have been dealt with properly and the fact there are reports of some of them re-offending is concerning. I am just a little concerned at the wider agenda of some sections of the media.
