- You are English, you managed the Republic of Ireland, therefore you were a 'foreign' manager,
- If a 'foreign' coach showed no commitment, by your own rationale, you didn't make a lot of effort in your job.
In other words, not only is he being rascist, he is also passing a rather harsh judgement on his tenure with the Republic of Ireland....ie he was shit.
It's times like these you realise how thick footballers actually are.
