Iraq - Civil War

I have to fight the urge on a daily basis to say to people I told you say in relation to Iraq. To do so what, of course, be a rather empty attempt at self-righteousness. Civil war is inevitable, it was one of many reasons why this was such a bad idea. Yes, the Hussein loving right (they helped him against Iran remember) would dearly love a (American sponsored) leader who can bring these tribes together. However, it is not going to happen. There is far too much history between the three tribes that inhabit modern day Iraq, it is folly to believe that going in all guns blazing was going to lead to a peaceful solution. The only way ahead is to split the country into it's constituent parts, allow them their independence. Difficult though it undoubtedly is, that is the choice, dictatorship, division or war.
