Tomorrow is an International Day of Action for David Hicks, five years after his unlawful detention. He has received no support from either John Howard, or the Australian Attorney-General Philip Ruddock. His attorney, Major Michael Mori, has dismissed claims that Hicks is fine and in good condition. His detention is a crime, as is that of the other inmates at Guantanamo (which includes children). The calls for his release are growing, and yet there is still little coverage of his plight in the Western media.
You can make a difference. You can take part in one of the many rallies taking part across Australia:

If you are able to, please make your voice heard by joining in at one of the rallies above. The voices are growing louder, and yet Howard still doesn't listen. If you're unable to attend a rally, you can still make your voice heard. You can send an email to Howard urging him to bring Hicks home, via Amnesty International. You can add a button to your sidebar to publicise his plight here. You can also read more about what has been happening with regards to this case here. There is also the Fair Go for David website with all the latest information about David's plight. Whatever you do tomorrow, do something. This is the opportunity to act collectively to force Howard to uphold his obligations to an Australian citizen who has been the victim of a gross violation of his human rights.
