The Age of Mediocrity

Not only are we living in an age of consumerism, we are living in an age where mediocrity prevails. We lap up everything that is mediocre like pigs feeding from a trough. The corporations feed us this diet of reconstituted shit and we gorge on it with no appetite to bite the hand that feeds us. We immerse ourselves in it, no questions asked. What happens when a diet of junk is forced upon us? BSE, Avion flu, Foot and Mouth...Perhaps Nature has the downfall of capitalism in its sights. Or perhaps we are now enduring the cultural diarroeha brought about by the virus that is capitalism and we are waiting for the virus to leave the system.
